Sarah is a STOTT Pilates certified instructor with an extensive background in the Food & Agriculture industry. She was born and raised in Yuma, Arizona and, by chance, stumbled into the art of Pilates after graduating from Cal Poly at the height of the global pandemic.
Here’s what happened at UCLA before…
A DC native with a passion for anatomy and movement, she is able to integrate a unique approach to her teaching. Her passion for dance and movement brought her to University of California of Irvine where she completed her BFA in Dance Performance in 2017. While dancing, she was introduced to Pilates as a form of cross training for her movement studies. Shortly after graduation, she completed her 450 hour Pilates certification through Diane Diefenderfer’s Studio du Corps of Orange County. Explore new movement modalities, develop a restorative regimen, challenge yourself with our fitness classes, and find release through dance. Jeffrey has been a professional dancer for forty years and a Pilates Method practitioner for thirty. It was through dance that he first was introduced to "the Method's " mat work. With over twenty-five years of studio experience at Studio Elance, Winsor Fitness, Sheppard Method Pilates, and Bodyline, he has worked privately with elite athletes and dancers, as well as the injured and physically limited.

She is also the Founder of Level Up MVMT which provides continuing education for Pilates instructors.

Born and raised in Los Angeles, Emily comes from a background of professional dance, which first lead her to Pilates as a form of rehab for chronic injury. She fell in love with the practice and knew she wanted to share it with others. Emily received her RYT 200 under the Direction of Richelle Morgan and the Aligned Flow Method, and her CPT 500 from Justine Malick and The Lab Pilates Method. In addition to teaching yoga and Pilates, Emily also has her own line of bodysuits, called BODY, all designed, sustainably sourced, and produced in LA.

Sharon is originally from the East Coast where she first fell in love with Pilates back in 2010. Her passion for Pilates lead her to become an instructor in order to help people heal, become stronger, and clear their minds. Sharon also enjoys working in her field of technical design, tap dancing, traveling and baking. Our group classes and private training sessions are designed to strengthen your body and center your mind so you can live your best life. Your legs will shake, your arms will burn, and you’ll feel more connected to your core than ever before.
With the pandemic, some dramatic changes came about for Playhouse Pilates. We went live with online classes on March 18, 2020 and have not looked back. Being unable to see clients in-person due to shut-downs in California our shift to online programming continues and now even outdoors, weather permitting! Amalia is a certified Balanced Body instructor and was trained under the master herself, Maria Leone.
Robert has been teaching Pilates across the U.S. for a little over 11 years. He started training in Pilates at the age of 15 while training to be a classical ballet dancer. He is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin in Stevens Point with a degree in Dance Kinesiology. Robert is fully certified in both Classical Romana’s Pilates, as well as Balanced Body. In the past year, Robert traveled and spent time in India where he studied yoga in an ashram, learning yogic philosophy from Swami Prabodh Chaitanya. He incorporates a holistic approach to Pilates bringing in wisdoms from Yoga, Energy Work, Sound, and Meditation.
During this time, Sarah also discovered a leg length discrepancy which explained why she had been suffering from chronic lower back pain since she was a teen. Sarah has since felt destined to share the benefits of Pilates with her clients after noticing its potential in her own body.
